Job Description

A specialist provider of technical production solutions to the live events sector is now on the hunt for a proactive individual to help them grow sales in the Midlands . The company has gained a strong reputation over the last couple of decades and they have a large mix of inventory which they supply to a range of event production houses across the UK and they now need a Business Development Manager to assist with the continued growth in the aforementioned territories

The Role
To aid your success in this position it is absolutely essential that you have experience of the event production industry. You will have the freedom to grow your territory by managing new and existing client relationships to promote the benefits of the company's large and varied inventory of technical production solutions covering audio ,AV ,lighting and rigging explaining to the production houses  the different options they have to acquire the equipment on a short to long term basis. Your industry experience and contacts will be the key to unlock the door to new accounts, expand current ones and ultimately gain a strong insight into the requirements of each company you engage with so you can match their requirements accordingly. You will be expected to continually keep tabs with industry developments to seek out new opportunities as they present themselves and then work closely with the commercial team to maximise the potential of the opportunity

About you.
The role of business Development Manager will naturally require you to have a proven track record of sales success and an understanding of the technical products used in event production. This will include knowledge in at least one of the following areas of audio lighting, video/data or rigging. You will be someone who is naturally organised, can develop and execute sales plans, along with having a good understanding of the event production market from a technical point of view. With the position involving a various amount of travel you will also need to have a full clean driving license.
