Job Description

This posting is for a Mid-Level / Lead Audio/Visual Field Technician/Engineer

A successful applicant must possess good overall problem solving & troubleshooting skills, and be capable to interact with customers, electricians, general contractors as well as have a neat/professional appearance.

  • Ability to lead a team of field technicians through all onsite phases of a project installation
  • Must have excellent communication, problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to maintain a professional work appearance and outstanding customer/contractor interaction
  • In-depth knowledge of installation, commissioning and operation of conference room AV/VTC systems in a secure government or military environment
  • Design layouts of audio and video equipment, and perform upgrades and maintenance
  • Set up audio and video equipment including microphones, sound speakers, video screens, projectors, video monitors, recording equipment, connecting wires and cables, sound and mixing boards, and related electronic equipment
  • Perform minor repairs and routine cleaning of audio and video equipment Minimum Requirements:
  • Preferred CTS, CTS-D or CTS-I certification
  • Experience installing Audio/Video equipment for end-user clients
  • Knowledge of Videoconferencing and Control systems  
  • Candidate must be able to read and follow blueprints, schematics, technical manuals and be capable of making changes in the field (on-site)

Hands on mechanical aptitude and soldering skills.
