Job Description

This company is one of the entertainment industry’s leading technical production organisations with a portfolio of work that spans theatre, live events and broadcast. Their reputation has been built on outstanding quality and service and due to growth they are now looking for a skilled and talented person to join their team in the role of Audio Visual Service Technician.

About You
Your background clearly illustrates practical experience servicing and repairing a range of lighting, audio and video systems used within the entertainment industry along with an excellent working knowledge of DMX, networking and three phase power. You are an experienced PAT tester, with fault finding skills to board level and your soldering is also of a high standard. You will have a good understanding of health and safety and experience of working at height so PASMA, IPAF and a CSCS card would be desirable. Attention to detail is a common theme about your experience, you are able to deliver to tight deadlines and maintain high standards of work.

The Role
Based from the company’s London warehouse you will be responsible for the repair and servicing of a range of audio, lighting and AV and control equipment. You will be able to leverage your technical knowledge to understand new and cutting edge kit within the company’s inventory and you will also be required to visit client sites to carry out required repairs or servicing. You will follow the relevant procedures to ensure equipment is maintained, all relevant safety standards met and are in line with the company’s SLA. The role will also require you to assist the account handling team on the feasibility and availability of technical inventory for hire.

Due to the nature of the role you will be expected to participate in the out of hours on call rota and there will be times where you will need to work overnight and travel long distances. With new developments taking place in the market you will be expected to take a proactive approach to developing your knowledge support any product training the company provides.
