My client is looking for an experienced Technical Events manager who is able to provide technical support and maintenance, customer care, and a good understanding of sales. This is an In-house role, the successful Technical Events Manager will be the technical interface between the client and venue ensuring that the company delivers the best solution. This role is to start immediately, based in the heart of London on a full time basis. About the company
This company specialises in audiovisual equipment rental and AV services. They have one of the UK's largest equipment warehouses for the hire of video projectors, sound equipment, display technology, stage sets and lighting.
They provide expertise for any type of live event: from seminars, product launches and exhibitions, to West End theatrical productions and television shows. Their four specialist divisions operate nationwide from offices in London and Manchester.
Provide display technologies for rental: from stand-mounted plasma screens to video projectors, video walls or LED walls. They also offer high-resolution videographics software for widescreen projections, as well as stage sets and lighting for corporate events. The Role
The ideal Technical Events Manager will need to have technical expertise along with excellent organizational skills to handle the diversity of projects. The hotel the role will encompass many aspects of sales, account management, administration, cultivate good relations with all hotel staff, ensure all areas of responsibility are within budget and to also utilise all in-house services before out- sourcing any crew or equipment.
As a Technical Events Manager you'll be the main point of contact for clients on a day to day basis to ensure customer requirements and expectations are fulfilled. Along with the on-site technician you will prepare, rig and de-rig equipment prior to events within the hotel and be available on-site for all issues. The ideal Technical Manager must maximise sales potential by up-selling services at every opportunity with the view of increasing turnover. Contact clients prior to their events to develop and build sales potential, interpret technical solutions, arranging meetings and establishing their requirements. The successful Technical Events Manager will need to build a strong portfolio of set designs/visuals enabling the client to visualise the possibilities for a particular event.

- Develop a database of clients who have visited the hotel, proactively correspond with clients after their event to pursue potential sales leads.

- Foster good relations with all of the London team and all sites to ensure that full back-up support is provided from front of house/warehouse.
